WHY SAUNA FAN?
The usual method for spreading heat, humidity, and essential oil aromas during sauna ceremonies or steam blasts (hereafter referred to as heat distribution) is the use of a towel. However, towels have some disadvantages compared to fans. Graceful waving of a towel in the sauna, unlike working with a fan, is not something everyone can manage.
In addition, distributing heat and humidity with a towel is much more physically demanding, especially in high sauna temperatures. An undeniable advantage of the fan is that it allows you to cover more clients or a larger area from one spot, and with less effort, you achieve greater efficiency.
Let’s look at this more closely:

1) EXPERTISE
To perform graceful and effective towel movements, you need a certain level of skill, knowledge, and a fair amount of training. It’s no coincidence that in recent years there have been towel-waving competitions and festivals (SaunaFest, Herbal Cup), championships, and other sauna events. All of the above activities are significantly easier to perform with a fan and, honestly, require no more than average skill.

2) EFFICIENCY
While towel use can appear effective with enough experience, it’s far less efficient than a sauna fan. Aside from the fact that spinning and waving a towel overhead in a hot, humid sauna is physically demanding, you must also walk around each guest to ensure accurate steam delivery. With a sauna fan, you can achieve far greater effectiveness and strength of the steam wave with less effort, not to mention easier targeting.

3) EASY CONTROL OF STEAM INTENSITY
Compared to towels, it's easier to control the intensity of the heat and steam flow—from a gentle breeze ideal for meditative ceremonies to a strong and powerful steam blast.

4) SAFETY
Most of my colleagues would agree that using a towel during more complex tricks can result in accidentally hitting someone. If the towel spins behind your back and both you and the client are moving, accidents happen—I’ve experienced it many times. With a sauna fan, which you hold in front of you 90% of the time (within view), such accidents are almost entirely avoided.
